I've been using MetRx for several years as an amature triathlete (sprints, no time or desire for an ironman). Training can be a full time job than add meal preparation to the mix and there is just not enough time in the week for it all. MetRx is quick and I've found that if I use it 1-2 hours before I train I get better results, no cramping or wild cravings after I train.
I mix it with OJ and one banana, the taste is quite delicious (oddly enough).
The draw back is that it doesn't mix easily, blender is really needed and it won't last. I can't mix it than take it with me for use an hour or so later. |

Good slow-release protein, Jun 05, 2005

Awesome protein. One of the few on the market that actually make me feel full. This is due to thickening agents that slow down the digestion, so that the aminos are released at a slower rate. Perfect middle of the day or bedtime blend. Not ideal as a post-workout shake. Chocolate is by far the best, although the vanilla isn't all bad. I always add in a Tbsp of Flax seed oil to get my efa's. |
