COST ME THOUSANDS IN MEDICAL BILLS!!, Apr 21, 2011
|
reviewer: Jonathan Cole from Dallas, TX

Had Daily severe headaches. I found out after having 2 ER visits, multiple CT scans, MRI\'s and even a spinal tap that it was Muscle Milk chocolate light that was giving me these headaches. I spent over $1000 in my co-insurance and copays. Don\'t ask what the total medical bills were that my insurance took care of.
The headaches started after I began drinking 1 or 2 of these premixed protein drinks a day. After 3 months of medical testing and continuous pain I stopped drinking this and the headaches stopped - Like clockwork. Im not allergic to anything and never had migrains or headaches before. BE CAREFUL WITH THIS!! It would be nice to get not only my money back but reimbursement for my medical costs!
I\'m not full of crap either. This was a no-brainer after i Stopped drinking this and realized it was the cause the entire time.
PLEASE BE MINDFUL IF CONSUMING THIS PRODUCT!! |

Thank goodness for Muscle Milk, Mar 15, 2011

I am 29 and have begun seriously working out for the first time in Aug 2010. I am quite lean (125 lbs) and have a strong desire to put on muscle. I\'ve read all about the pros and cons of using protein supplements and decided to take the plunge.
To my dismay I discovered almost every protein supplement I tried, I would have an absolutely horrible physical reaction in the form of nausea, stomach cramps, and REALLY bad diahrrea. I would like to note that I am allergic to seafood and peanuts and made absolutely sure the protein I was taking was free of anything I was allergic to.
Then I tried Muscle Milk and the rest is history .. no nausea, no diahrrea, no cramps...I was literally shocked my body responded so well to this protein. My favorites are Chocolate and Mint Chocolate Chip.
Good luck to those who have encountered the same issues as I had when looking for a good protein. If Muscle Milk doesn\'t agree with your system (as some reviews have stated) keep trying different brands until you find the right one. In Canada at the GNC Store you can exchange an opened bottle of supplements until you are satisfied with your purchase. |

Great Stuff, Dec 29, 2010

I have been using Muscle Milk for 4 months, with no side effects.
I have one in the morning 7am and one for lunch 1pm. I am using these as a meal replacement.
When I started, I weighed close to 300 lbs, now after the 4 months, I have dropped 50 lbs. I work out 3-5 times a week. 45 minutes treadmill (cardio) and 20 minutes on weights. I work out before lunch and take a Muscle Milk right after work out.
I feel great and love the product. I have been building muscle, but that is probably more from the work outs. Like I said, I use the product as a meal replacement and and help the muscles a little bit. |

for starters i get 4.96 lbs of mm powder at supplementwarehouse.com for 40$ & as long as you order all of your supplements at the same time the s&h is reasonable. i also take no xplode & cell mass. i take 1 mm shake around lunch time & then no xplode 45 mins before my workout. then i have a mm shake during my workout & cell mass after & i love it. ive tried all kinds of protein suppliments & have found this combo to be the best & have actually lost more fat while using muscle milk than with other proteins & havent experienced any side effects. |

Best Protein Shake!, Sep 09, 2010

I\'ve been taking Muscle Milk Light in Vanilla Creme (lactose free) for almost a year now. I\'ve had absolutely NO side effects at all. I am on a pretty strict diet consisting mostly of high protein and low carbs and eating every two hours. I mix 2 scoops with 12oz of Lactaid milk (as I\'m lactose intollerant) and it tastes just like cake batter!
I\'ve gotten a few girls @ work hooked on it:) With a balanced diet and discipline I\'ve noticed my body taking the shape I\'ve been working for :) |

Muscle Milk helped me!, Aug 28, 2010

Had a problem with getting tired and having my muscles start breaking down and never getting any stronger. I do a lot of physical work for my job and i need something that will allow me to work and not be so sore its painful. Muscle Milk has helped me be less sore, gain muscle (because i do a lot of heavy pushing and lifting), and generally maintain an active lifestyle! I was also having trouble getting enough protein before from foods because it\'s hard to eat as much meat and other foods to get the protein you can get in a shake of muscle milk without your stomach hurting (at least for me). I have one or two or three shakes a day depending on soreness and activity. I am speaking for the premade shakes btw sold in 11oz cardboard 4 packs. I have not tried the powder, i got sick of other powders never dissolving and getting gross chunks happening. Which reminds me of my final point, that this tastes worlds better than other protein mixes i\'ve had and even much better than the other premade drinks. If you find one that tastes better, let me know! I like the vanilla more but get chocolate as well to mix it up. Anyway, that\'s how it\'s been working out for me, wonderfully! |

Not muscle builder but muscle food, Aug 20, 2010

Seems there is a bit of confusion as to what MM is. People are bragging about 10 pounds of muscle or other BS claims as this is a supplement to help reintroduce protein for muscle regeneration not building mass. Others claim to be chemists or whatever else they can think of (on some sites) yet no answers. You\'re confusing this with a steroid. What it does is gives your muscles fuel if taken prior to workout and the proteins help regenerate the muscle postworkout. As all claim to be body builders you should already understand that when you work out you are tearing down and stressing your muscles then they rebuild with rest. Protein helps with the process and you\'ll notice less soreness in the muscles you just worked. For acne and all, most people will have acne because you\'re using equipment others are. In my gym it is up to the person to clean it down after each use or you get probation or removed. I have never had any issues. Stomach problems can be due to a poor diet. Acne... if you\'re teen guess what... part of life. This is a supplement and people need to remember that NOT a muscle building steroid. If you want to know what the ingredients are and if they are "good" or "bad" take it to the pharmacist, if nothing else they can point you into organic options as well. |

Tastes Great, But Makes Me Sick, Aug 02, 2010
|
reviewer: Michelle from Hawai\'i

I\'ve tried this (low-fat chocolate peanut butter) for 2 days. The first day I got what I thought was a stomach virus: bloating, gas, nausea, lack of energy. It wore off with time, exercise, and a healthy meal. The second day it gave me the same symptoms along with a bad headache...I ended up sleeping for an hour because I felt so sick. I won\'t be taking it any more because it makes me sick. I gave it 2 stars for the flavor only. It tastes really good with soymilk and ice blended, though it is really sweet. I did a review search on it to see if there is a recall because of the symptoms, and found that it affects others the same. There should at least be a warning. I gotta trust my body\'s reaction and toss it.

Good Supplement but.., Jul 13, 2010

Muscle Milk is a good supplement, comparable to some high end powders. For a powder i would say the taste is great, closest to an actual milkshake i have ever had.
Unfortunately the stuff makes me break out so i have to stop using it... what good is being muscular if your muscles are covered with zits? |

I love the stuff, I\'ve been on it for three weeks. My goal is to cut fat and still maintain my muscle mass and it\'s working perfectly. I\'m down 15 pounds in three weeks and my strength is actually increasing. Mix it with water, taste is great and you take a lot less calories in. Helps build strong lean muscle and cut fat at the same time, recommend it to anyone no matter what your fitness goals are. |

It\'s good stuff if mixed right, Apr 05, 2010
|
reviewer: Anonymous from Anytown, AT 55555

I know some folks complain about the taste but it\'s the BEST tasting thing if you mix it with two percent milk. First off, I don\'t put alot of milk so it comes out pretty rich and creamy. Second off, if you\'re only mixing a whole scoop with 2/3rds of a cup of milk it\'s not like the milk is going to kill you with the little bit of extra fat. I run for an hour a day on the treadmill and do a mix of about 300 crunches and situps. It\'s not like you\'re drinking it as a regular drink so you can easily gulp it down with a little bit of milk. Problem solved with low-fat milk if you\'re not lactose intolerant. |

Pleasantly surprised!, Feb 24, 2010
|
reviewer: Anonymous from Anytown, AT 55555

I\'m a naturally slim 20 year old guy. I workout 3-4 times a week for a few hours and have trouble bulking up due to my lack of essential muscle-building nutrients in my diet. Looking to the summer ahead, I knew I wanted a nice buffer bod to show off and had no choice but to find a good supplement. I went with Muscle Milk because of the good reviews I\'ve read and heard. I never took anything like it before so this was all new to me.
I finally purchased a 2.5 pound container of Cookies & Cream Muscle Milk almost two weeks ago now. First time tasting it, I just got some water out of my fridge and added it in. Unfortunately the water wasn\'t cold enough so it was lukewarm which sorta threw the taste off. (probably not the best tasting thing when not cold)
I didn\'t give up though. Next morning I got another glass of water (which I measured out to be about 10 oz) and stuck it in the freezer for about 15 mins. I took the cup out and the water was nice and cold which helped the muscle milk to actually taste like a REAL milkshake. Very surprised by how much I\'m liking the taste; especially considering how picky I am. If I can get it down (and enjoy it) ANYONE can. So with some cold water, this stuff is good. Problem averted! Taste test: passed.
Now does it actually WORK??? Well, it\'s been almost two weeks now like I said. I\'ve already noticed a boost in my endurance. Maybe it\'s just a mental thing but I\'m finding my workouts to be less strenuous which has in turn allowed me to work out harder (added more weight) and longer (went from 30 min sessions to 1 hour sessions with even more energy to burn). My joints feel looser and muscles are surprisingly less tight after each work. I feel invigorated.
Have I seen RESULTS? It\'s only been two weeks but I\'m actually noticing some minor results. My arms specifically have been starting to bulk up a bit (biceps and triceps in particular). Shoulders are looking nice and sculpted along with my back. I still have a long way to go until I reach my ultimate goal but I\'m definitely on the right track. At this rate, I should definitely see some nice improvements come summer in 4-5 months.
By no means is this a miracle drink. Your expectations have to be realistic. You\'re not going to drink this and BOOM become one of those hard bodies you\'ve always admired. It doesn\'t work that way. It\'s not designed to work that way. What it does accomplish, though, helps you to further your progress on your way to building a better body. You will have the nutrients you need to improve your workouts which will essentially improve your body in the long-run.
Stick with a steady routine, follow the directions, work out on a semi-regular basis like me and you can get your money\'s worth out of this product. I\'m definitely no gym rat or jock; just an everyday slim guy trying to add some muscle. With some good workouts and commitment to a new routine (muscle milk drink at night before bed and 1 hour or so before a workout) I will be on my way to a new and improved me. You can do it too. I was skeptical but I am pleasantly surprised by the progress already. |

I use 1 scoop at night before bed everyday. I use Designer Whey Chocolate during the day (fewer calories). LOVE this stuff. If I could drink it all the time I would. I mix it with water, ice chips and a scoop of matcha tea powder (not a fan of the taste of matcha but love the benefits). Mixed in my little blender it is fabulous. Don\'t understand those who say it is "the worst tasting"...just don\'t get it, best tasting one I have ever tried! |
